Game design--whether robust set-top or simple shockwave--is some of the most satisfying work I've done. It certainly involves the most teamwork. I once had to stage a game of "pickle" (aka "monkey in the middle") in the hallway of Ogilvy and Mather to convey the game dynamic to a Russian coder.
Zombie Escape
A huge success online with 1.5 million plays in its first three months alone. Earth has been taken over by zombies and it's up to you and your jetpack to save the human race! Part of the ONDCP's "Above The Influence" campaign.
ONDCP DropStopper

Part of an early ONDCP "Positive repercussions" online campaign, i.e. these are the all the great things you can achieve if you stay away from drugs. This game trained your reflexes for "real" video games.
ONDCP GeoFinder

"Positive Repercussions" part 2: A fun geo-challenge to help you prepare to become a world traveler. This won a One Show recognition and a special award from the Art Directors Club of NY.
ONDCP DivaTron

Part 3, with the goal being "become a hip-hop diva." This one lets you create your own hip-hop video--music tracks, costuming, even dance moves. You can still find the actual game on the Ogilvy web site, but it requires the Beatnik plug-in.
IBM Olympics Mountain Bike game

A bit on the old side--I think IBM's last Olympics sponsorship was in 2000--but still cute in its way, and a One Show award winner at the time. | | |
